Mark Venzke
founder, publisher and editor
Mark Venzke is a citizen of the United States Of America. He was born there and has lived there all of his life.
Mark is an independent centrist. He has occasionally become a member of a political party only long enough to vote for good candidates of those parties in primary elections.
He is dedicated to a trans-partisan, political credo:
While he is a dedicated, broad-minded, critical-thinking and non-denominational Christian, he respects and defends the rights of people of all faith traditions and philosophies to freely believe what they choose to believe or what they feel that a higher power leads them to believe and to freely practice their faith traditions and philosophies as long as they do not infringe on the rights of others.
Mark has been an advocate for environmental and humanitarian causes and has been involved in issue and candidacy campaigns for most of his adult life. In 2012, he ran for city commissioner of Gainesville, Florida, and, in 2013, he ran for mayor of Gainesville. He may run for public offices in the future.
Mark studied landscape architecture at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and has worked in most sectors of the landscape industry for twenty-three seasons. He has done many other types of work, including work as an architectural and engineering designer, draftsman and technical illustrator for seven years.
Mark has never been married and currently lives in Gainesville.
